How long will my painting project take?

Kitchen cabinet painting usually takes from 3 days to a week or even longer depending on the size of the project, cabinet refreshing on the other hand is usually a 1 or 2 day job.

What types of paint do you use?

I prefer Vista Paints, but on interiors occasionaly will also use some Behr or other products. On exteriors I prefer Elastomeric Paints, or Vista Carefree. I am also a Certified Texcote applicator and licensed to apply "Coolwall".

How do I prepare for my painting project?

Interior projects need your attention to remove fragile and personal items, kitchen cabinets need emptying of valuable or fragile items, the cleaner the better on both counts, on the exterior you shouldn't have things against the surface where we are going to be painting.

Do you offer color consultation services?

Yes, our professional color consultants can help you select the perfect colors for your space, considering your preferences, architectural style, lighting conditions, and existing elements.

How long will my new paint job last?

Good Exterior paint jobs are normally projected to last 6-12 years, yet I easily get double + longevity by properly preparing the substrate, doing a second coat on troubled areas, utilizing Elastomeric paints with higher fill, and Texcote products with Kynar and extended warranties that I offer at an affordable rate, plus the C.S.L.B. division of Consumer Affairs will investigate a claim for up to ten years after a job has been completed!

Every job presents a new challenge. A horse trainer once confided in me that the challenge isn't the horse, but the owner! There are homeowners that can never be satisfied with what you do, and those are the ones to avoid, and then, there are exceptions like in this case, where you are made to feel so appreciated that you feel like you can never give enough. I initially bid the job as a re-paint for the color white throughout, ceilings and walls, which makes it particularly easy not having to cut where the walls meet the ceilings, and after signing the contract, just before leaving, I pointed out to the client that normally the trim and ceilings are made white for contrast and good lighting, and a warm pastel color is brought to the walls. She inquired which I would recommend and I opened a whites chart I had on hand and pointed toward three possibilities. She liked one of them and opted for it. The rest is history, I sprayed several doors with an excellent non-yellowing product from Vista which I favor, and did the baseboard with it as well. I used a true flat on the ceilings and a fully acrylic flat on the walls which took several coats to get good coverage. I have never had a client made me feel as welcome and appreciated as she did, the money became irrelevant and that is how it should be! Oh that there were more clients like her.PS I so appreciate that you took the time and effort to post a review for me, so many people, once they get what they're after, never look back to give in return...bless your heart!
